Growth Partnership and LEADERship Ashtabula County have teamed up with The Computer Workshop to deliver four featured in-person courses to help businesses advance the leadership and communication abilities of their team members. Growth Partnership members get a 25% discount!
To be successful in the workplace, you must be able to effectively communicate and cooperate with coworkers and external people. Students will enhance their communication skills to interact more effectively with superiors, colleagues, team members, customers, and vendors, and ultimately improve their overall job performance. Cost = $299 (GP members); $350 (Non-members).
Dealing with Conflict and Difficult People
Conflict at work is inevitable. Since you can’t prevent conflict, the most important thing is to learn how to manage conflict in productive ways. You will learn about different types of conflict and how to work effectively to manage those scenarios so you can get work done without hassle and stress. Cost = $339 (GP members); $399 (Non-members).
Whether at work, in the community, or at home, we are often expected to be a functional part of a performing team. Having a strong team will benefit any organization and will lead to more successes. This course will encourage participants to explore the different aspects of a team, as well as ways that they can become a top-notch team performer. Cost = $299 (GP members); $350 (Non-members).
This course will help participants understand the different methods of communication and how to make the most of each of them. Course Objectives: Understand what communication is; Identify barriers to communication and how to overcome them; Develop their non-verbal and paraverbal communication skills; Listen actively and effectively; Ask good questions. Cost = $299 (GP members); $350 (Non-members).

Employees can take classes at Kent State University at the Ashtabula Campus and the Ashtabula County Career Technology Campus (A-Tech) offer customized employee training. The possibilities are endless.
